The heroes

They breathe. They swing. Point at one.

Every hero is a 3D figure that idles, walks and fights at your table, weapon in hand. Find a legendary blade and it glows.

Live 3D in this page: free figures from the base game. 21 to pick from when you make your hero.

Ways to play

No group tonight? Play anyway.

The game runs the rules, the dice and the monsters. Who tells the story is up to you.

In the game: a fighter and a companion played by the game against a bugbear, with no GM.

I

Solo

No friends online, no game master. Just you and the dungeon.

  • The free campaigns play without a GM: the game runs the monsters, the traps and the checks.
  • Bring companions the game controls, so you never walk in alone.
  • Start with the tutorial, then The Customs House of the Dead and The Silent Mill.

In the game: the AI GM narrates above four heroes on the 3D map.

With the AI GM

Claude narrates and voices the characters. The game keeps the rules.

  • It describes, calls for checks and reacts to what you write.
  • The game checks every line before you see it: no spoilers of what you haven't found yet.
  • The host sets a spending cap. The other players pay nothing.

The AI GM, unedited

Three real turns from our test bench

Claude Sonnet running The Silent Mill. The game rolls the dice; the GM tells you what happened. Translated from Italian: the original is under each one.

The flour

Pip Pip crouches to study the flour on the floor.

Intelligence (Investigation) · DC 10 · rolled 20, total 24 · success

GM Pip kneels and reads the flour with a trained eye. Among the miller's heavy footprints there are others, small, with three thin toes, going to and from the stairs: not a rat's, and not a barefoot girl's either. Bertoldo twists his apron, waiting. What do you do?

…and it writes the clue in the party's journal.

Original (Italian)

Cosa fate?»

The spoiler that didn't get out

Brunilde Let's take a short rest here in the tunnel. How long does it take?

Draft …if you stop, eight hours is all the time you leave to Fratel Grigio.

Stopped by the game: the players haven't met Fratel Grigio yet. Rewritten:

GM Here a short rest lasts eight hours, a whole night of cold stone and creaking beams. The tunnel is a good spot: one way in, solid props, no fresh tracks. But Elda has been missing for three days, and the singing still carries, faint, behind the walls. Eight hours is a long time to give whoever holds her. Do you make camp anyway, Brunilde? And Pip, do you keep watch or lie down?

Original (Italian)

«Se vi fermate, otto ore sono tutto il tempo che lasciate a Fratel Grigio.» → fermato. Riscritto: «…Ma Elda manca da tre giorni, e il canto si sente ancora, lontano, dietro le pareti. Otto ore sono tanto tempo da lasciare a chi la tiene prigioniera. Vi accampate lo stesso, Brunilde? E Pip, resti di guardia o ti stendi?»

A natural 1

Brunilde Brunilde takes a run-up and throws her shoulder into the bricked-up door.

Strength (Athletics) · DC 12 · rolled 1, total 6 · fail

GM Brunilde slams into the door with the full weight of her chain mail, but the fallen bricks don't budge an inch. All she gets is a sore shoulder and a cloud of dust that makes her cough. What do you do?

The door stays shut. The roll decides, not the GM.

Original (Italian)

Cosa fate?»

Before you roll

Is it in English?

Yes: menus, rules, hero creation and the tutorial, with the official English 5E terms. The two free campaigns and the Shop are still in Italian; they're next.

Do I need to know the rules?

No. The tutorial teaches you as you play. On your turn the game shows what you can do and does the maths.

Phone or computer?

Both, in the browser. On a slow phone there's a text-only mode.

Do I need an account?

Not to play. An account keeps your heroes on every device, and you need one to buy. From age 14 on the public server.

What does «5E-compatible» mean?

The rules come from the SRD 5.2.1, the fifth-edition rules under a Creative Commons licence. Not an official product.

The tavern door is open.

Five rooms, a fallen tower and a green lantern. The tutorial takes about an hour, and you can play it alone.
